Eat More, Be Healthy


There's a summary of a new study out that talks about stuffing your face in the morning to have a healthier body mass index (BMI) and we are entirely in agreement!

Of the more than 50,000 participants, those who ate breakfast as their largest meal (rather than lunch or dinner) had a healthier BMI. A hearty breakfast can give you energy for the day, stave off cravings and you have more time in the day to burn the calories! Since sweets and fats cravings can come on as we desire energy, loading up on a healthy large breakfast might help keep those particular cravings at bay.

In addition to a hearty breakfast, change to a light dinner and resist snacking after 6 pm (if your day is a 9-5). Ceasing your consumption a few hours before bed might help you sleep better too!

It can be hard to stop and take time to prepare and eat a big breakfast in the mornings. Try to prepare some of it the day before. If you just can;t do it, participants who had light breakfast still had healthier BMI than those who skipped it all together - so stuff something healthy in your mouth in the morning!
