Get Your Skin Glowing

Here are some tips to get the glowing skin you've always wanted the natural way that will last a lifetime!

Time to turn down the shower temperatures and length too! Shorter cooler showers are better for your skin - so avoid long baths too. When you are done, don't wipe dry all the way, pat your skin damp and immediately apply moisturizer to lock the hydration in the cells.

Although the beauty industry is very enthusiastic about soap right now, body wash with a humectant and emollient is preferred. A humectant draws the water in, attracting its molecules beneath the skin and an emolliant moisturizes and smooths the skin by spreading the molecules across the skin cells and in the cracks, creating a stronger bond between cells. Also, choose a mild body wash that doesn't strip the skin of natural oils.

Use a hydrating and moisturizing mask, no exfoliation. Exfoliants can cause inflammation and increase dryness or encourage additional production of oil. If you feel you need some exfoliation use a topical chemical exfoliant, not one with harsh scrubbing elements like beads or nut shells.

Use sunscreen 30 SPF or higher applied every 2 hours if you don't want to mess up your make up of bronzer there are good powder options. Spay sunscreen is as effective as lotion, as long as you make sure to spray full coverage and not skip patches of skin.
