What Is Important

We've heard - if you look at someone's calendar and their finances, you will know who they are. Seems a bit outrageous, that you can tell who someone is by how they spend their time and money. But, we spend time with the people and on the things we love and we spend money on the things that are important to us. So what is important to you?

April 1st will mark the beginning of the second quarter of 2019. This week marks the perfect time in your calendar to look at what your spending (of time and money) says is important to you. Does it match with what you belief is the most important to you? If not, how can you move closure to using your time and money for those things?

Health is a very high priority for a lot of people, but if you include time planning, preparing and eating healthy meals along with workouts - how important is it really? Small changes, like an extra 10 minutes of exercise, when you do exercise, or an extra 15 minutes spent preparing a healthy meal, can make a big difference over time. After all, it takes more effort to make a salad than to microwave that frozen dinner! And if you are eating organic, it is probably more expensive too!

If your spouse/bff/child is extremely important, how much time do you spend nurturing that relationship versus spending it on 'me' time. Don't get us wrong, 'me' time is important... perspective is important too. Taking a few minutes to introspect on where you are spending your time and money, is worth it.
